Bernardo Silva, born on August 10, 1994, is a distinguished Portuguese professional footballer who currently serves as a midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City, where he also holds the captaincy. Silva's football journey began at Benfica's youth academy, where he honed his skills before making his professional debut with Benfica B in 2013. His talent quickly earned him a promotion to the first team in 2014, although his breakthrough came during a loan spell at Ligue 1 side Monaco in the 2014–15 season.

Silva's time at Monaco proved pivotal, as he helped the club secure the league title in 2017.
