Besiana Kadare

Besiana Kadare, born in 1972, is a distinguished Albanian diplomat and politician known for her significant contributions to international relations. She has held several prominent positions, including serving as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative of Albania to the United Nations.

In her role at the United Nations, Kadare was a vice president of the General Assembly during its seventy-fifth session, showcasing her leadership and diplomatic skills on a global stage. Additionally, she represented Albania as its ambassador to Cuba, further enhancing her diplomatic portfolio.

Kadare's tenure at the United Nations coincided with Albania's membership on the UN Security Council for a two-year term from 2022 to 2023, a period marked by active engagement in international peace and security matters.
