Roberta Corti, known to the world as Betty Curtis, was born on March twenty-first, nineteen thirty-six, in Milan, Italy. Growing up in the vibrant borough of Cagnola, she was immersed in music from a young age, performing in nightclubs and captivating audiences with her voice. Her talent was recognized in nineteen fifty-eight when she was discovered by the renowned Teddy Reno, marking the beginning of her illustrious career.

Betty made her recording debut with a heartfelt rendition of 'With All My Heart,' accompanied by the Franco Pisano Orchestra. Her career took a significant leap forward when she won the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival in nineteen sixty-one with the song 'Al di là,' performed alongside Luciano Tajoli. This victory not only solidified her status in the Italian music scene but also led her to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest that same year, where she tied for fifth place.

In nineteen sixty-five, Curtis returned to the Sanremo stage with the song 'Invece no,' collaborating with the iconic Petula Clark.
