Bhanubhakta Acharya

Bhanubhakta Acharya, born on July thirteenth, eighteen fourteen, is celebrated as a pioneering figure in Nepali literature. His contributions as a poet, translator, and writer have left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of Nepal. Often referred to as 'Aadikabi,' meaning 'the first poet,' he holds the esteemed title of the oldest poet in the Nepali language.

Acharya is best known for his monumental translation of the epic Ramayana from Sanskrit to Nepali, a groundbreaking achievement that made this revered text accessible to a broader audience. His translation initially gained popularity through oral recitation, captivating listeners with its lyrical beauty and profound storytelling.
