Bill Lishman

Bill Lishman, born on February twelfth, nineteen thirty-nine, was a multifaceted Canadian known for his remarkable contributions as an ornithologist, screenwriter, aircraft pilot, sculptor, environmentalist, and inventor. His diverse talents led him to become the president of William Lishman & Associates Limited and the Vice President of Paula Lishman Limited, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership in various fields.

As a passionate naturalist and public speaker, Lishman dedicated his life to the study and preservation of wildlife. He was particularly noted for his innovative work with Operation Migration Inc., where he served as Chair Emeritus, helping to promote the conservation of migratory birds through groundbreaking techniques.

Described by the Toronto Star as a 'dyslexic, colour-blind, wildly creative sculptor,' Lishman's artistic vision was as unique as his life experiences. His sculptures often reflected his deep connection to nature and his commitment to environmentalism, leaving a lasting impact on both the art world and the conservation community.

Tragically, Lishman's life was cut short when he was diagnosed with leukemia, passing away less than two weeks later. His legacy, however, continues to inspire future generations of artists, environmentalists, and innovators.
