Bill Smart

Bill Smart, born on June fifth, nineteen forty-eight, is a distinguished retired middle-distance runner hailing from Canada. His athletic prowess was showcased on the international stage when he represented Canada at the 1972 Summer Olympics held in Munich, West Germany.

Smart's remarkable career includes a notable silver medal achievement in the men's 1500 metres event at the 1971 Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia. Additionally, he earned a bronze medal in the 800 metres at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, further solidifying his reputation as a formidable competitor.

During his collegiate years, Smart was an All-American runner for the Washington Huskies track and field team.
