Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, born on June eleventh, nineteen sixty-three, is a prominent Nigerian-British feminist activist and writer. She has made significant contributions as a policy advocate and social change philanthropy practitioner, dedicating her life to empowering women and fostering social justice.

As the first lady of Ekiti State, Nigeria, Bisi served alongside her husband, Governor Kayode Fayemi, during two terms from two thousand ten to two thousand fourteen and again from two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty-two. Her role in this capacity allowed her to champion various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women and children in the region.

Bisi is the founder of the Above Whispers Media Foundation, where she writes a weekly column titled Loud Whispers on the website Abovewhispers.com. Additionally, she established The Wrapper Network, a mentoring program designed to support and uplift women in their personal and professional journeys.

Her expertise in gender issues was recognized when she served as a Senior Advisor for UN Women Nigeria from two thousand seventeen to two thousand eighteen. Currently, she holds the position of Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the African Leadership Centre, King's College London, where she continues to influence the discourse on leadership and gender.
