Björn Ferry

Björn Ferry, born on August 1, 1978, is a distinguished former Swedish biathlete and cross-country skier, celebrated for his remarkable achievements in the world of winter sports.

Ferry's journey in competitive skiing began in earnest in 2001 when he entered the international arena through World Cup competitions. His persistence paid off during the 2007–2008 season when he clinched his first international victory, marking a significant milestone in his career.

In 2007, he showcased his exceptional talent by winning a gold medal in the mixed relay event at the Biathlon World Championships. This victory set the stage for his crowning achievement at the 2010 Winter Olympics, where he triumphed in the pursuit event. Starting from eighth place, Ferry demonstrated his tenacity and skill by overtaking the race leader on the final lap, securing his place as an Olympic champion.
