Blase Cupich

Blase Cupich, an esteemed American Catholic prelate, has been serving as the Archbishop of Chicago since two thousand fourteen. His journey in the Catholic Church began with his ordination as a priest in nineteen seventy-five, marking the start of a distinguished career dedicated to faith and service.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Cupich's leadership qualities were recognized early on. In nineteen ninety-eight, he was appointed Bishop of Rapid City by Pope John Paul II, a role that set the stage for his subsequent elevation to Bishop of Spokane in two thousand ten, appointed by Pope Benedict XVI.
