Blaž Slišković

Blaž Slišković, born on May thirtieth, nineteen fifty-nine, is a distinguished Bosnian football manager and former player, celebrated for his exceptional skills as a midfielder. Known affectionately as the 'Balkan Maradona', Slišković earned admiration for his remarkable composure and flair on the ball, which set him apart in the world of football.

His football journey began at his hometown club, Velež Mostar, where he showcased his talent before moving on to play for prominent teams such as Hajduk Split, Marseille, and Pescara. Throughout his career, he represented Yugoslavia on twenty-six occasions during the late seventies and early eighties, leaving a lasting impact on the national team.

Transitioning from player to coach, Slišković has established himself as one of the most successful football managers in Bosnia. His coaching career is marked by memorable moments, including the near miss of qualifying Bosnia and Herzegovina for UEFA Euro 2004.
