Bob Gassoff, born on April seventeenth, nineteen fifty-three, in Quesnel, British Columbia, was a dedicated ice hockey player whose passion for the sport ignited at a young age. Growing up on a family farm along the Quesnel Hydraulic Road, he honed his skills on a makeshift rink before advancing to various local junior leagues.
His professional career in the National Hockey League spanned four seasons, during which he played for the St. Louis Blues. Gassoff quickly became known for his tenacity and skill on the ice, earning respect from teammates and fans alike.
Tragically, Gassoff's life was cut short when he was involved in a motorcycle accident on the property of his friend and teammate, Garry Unger, near Gray Summit, Missouri. In a testament to his impact on the team and the sport, the Blues retired his number three shirt, ensuring that his legacy would live on in the hearts of hockey enthusiasts.
