Robert Ellsworth, widely recognized as Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth, was born on May 3, 1959. He is an iconic American singer, best known for his powerful vocals as the lead singer of the New Jersey thrash metal band Overkill. Since the band's formation in 1980, Ellsworth has been a driving force behind Overkill's distinctive sound, remaining one of its two constant members alongside bassist D. D. Verni.
In addition to his work with Overkill, Ellsworth is also a member of the supergroup cover band BPMD, showcasing his versatility and passion for music. His career has been marked by a commitment to the thrash metal genre, and he has garnered a loyal fanbase over the decades.
