Bon Scott

Bon Scott, born on July ninth, nineteen forty-six, in Forfar, Scotland, was an iconic Australian singer and the second lead vocalist of the legendary hard rock band AC/DC. He moved to Australia with his family at the age of six, initially settling in Melbourne before making Fremantle, Western Australia, his home. Scott's musical journey began in 1964 when he formed his first band, the Spektors, where he showcased his talents as a drummer and occasional lead vocalist.

In nineteen seventy-four, Scott joined AC/DC, replacing original lead singer Dave Evans. His dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals quickly became the driving force behind the band's success. Over the next six years, he contributed to the creation of seven groundbreaking albums, including High Voltage, T.N.T., and the commercially successful Highway to Hell, which marked a significant turning point for the band in the United States.

Despite AC/DC's rising fame, tragedy struck on February nineteenth, nineteen eighty, when Scott passed away after a night out in London. His untimely death left a profound impact on the band and its fans. In the wake of his loss, AC/DC considered disbanding but ultimately chose to honor Scott's legacy by recruiting Brian Johnson as their new vocalist. The subsequent album, Back in Black, was released just five months later and stands as a tribute to Scott's enduring influence.

Scott's contributions to rock music have not gone unnoticed; he was ranked number one in Classic Rock's list of the '100 Greatest Frontmen of All Time' in July two thousand four and was placed fifth in Hit Parader's list of the '100 Greatest Heavy Metal Vocalists' in two thousand six.
