Bora Kostić

Bora Kostić, born on June fourteenth, nineteen thirty, was a distinguished Serbian footballer celebrated for his exceptional skills as a left winger. Renowned for his powerful shot and remarkable free kick ability, Kostić is often hailed as one of the finest players of his generation in Yugoslavia.

His illustrious career saw him don the jerseys of prominent clubs, including Red Star Belgrade, Lanerossi Vicenza, and St. Louis Stars. At Red Star Belgrade, he made an indelible mark, becoming the all-time leading scorer with one hundred fifty-eight league goals, a record that still stands today.

Kostić's international career was equally impressive. He earned thirty-three caps for the Yugoslavia national football team, netting twenty-six goals. His contributions were pivotal in the team's success at the 1960 Summer Olympics, where they clinched the gold medal, and he also participated in the 1960 European Nations' Cup.
