Botond Storcz

Botond Storcz, born on January thirtieth, nineteen seventy-five, is a distinguished retired Hungarian sprint canoeist and an accomplished coach. His athletic career is highlighted by his participation in the Olympic Games of two thousand and two thousand four, where he secured three gold medals in the K-2 500 m and K-4 1000 m events.

In addition to his Olympic success, Storcz has an impressive record at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, where he earned a total of eleven medals. This includes four golds in the K-1 500 m, K-1 1000 m, K-4 500 m, and K-4 1000 m events, as well as five silvers and two bronzes, showcasing his versatility and dominance in the sport.

His remarkable achievements in nineteen ninety-seven, where he won three gold medals at the World Championships, earned him the prestigious title of Hungarian Sportsman of the Year. Following his retirement from competitive canoeing, Storcz transitioned into coaching, sharing his expertise and passion for the sport.

Since two thousand nine, he has served as the head coach of the Hungarian National Kayak Canoe Team, guiding the next generation of athletes and contributing to the development of canoeing in Hungary.
