Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Brad Henry

Brad Henry, born on July tenth, nineteen sixty-three, is a prominent American politician and lawyer who made significant contributions to the state of Oklahoma. He served as the twenty-sixth governor of Oklahoma from two thousand three to two thousand eleven, representing the Democratic Party. Prior to his governorship, Henry was a member of the Oklahoma Senate from nineteen ninety-two until two thousand three.

In two thousand two, Henry was elected governor with forty-three point two percent of the vote, and he successfully secured re-election in two thousand six with an impressive sixty-six point five percent. His tenure marked him as the third governor and the second Democrat in Oklahoma's history to serve two consecutive terms, joining the ranks of Democrat George Nigh and Republican Frank Keating.

Due to term limits established by the Oklahoma Constitution, Henry was unable to pursue a third term in the two thousand ten election. He was succeeded by Republican Mary Fallin, who had previously served as the Lieutenant Governor and a U.S. Representative. As of two thousand twenty-six, Henry remains the last Democrat to have been elected or served as governor of Oklahoma.

Although he was mentioned as a potential candidate for the U.S. Senate, Henry chose not to run in the two thousand fourteen special election to replace Tom Coburn, focusing instead on his legacy within state politics.
