Currently serving as the assistant coach for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL), Shaw has made significant contributions to the sport both on and off the ice.
Shaw's professional journey began when he was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the fifth round of the nineteen eighty-two NHL entry draft, being the eighty-sixth overall pick.
