His political journey has been marked by a steadfast commitment to the Sahrawi people's quest for self-determination and independence from Moroccan rule.
Ghali's activism began early in his career, playing a pivotal role in the formation of the Movement for the Liberation of the Saguia el Hamra and Wadi el Dhahab. He was a key figure in the 1970 Zemla Intifada, which sought to challenge Spanish colonial authority, and he contributed significantly to the establishment of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro, commonly known as the Polisario Front, in nineteen seventy-three.
In nineteen seventy-six, Ghali was instrumental in the declaration of the Sahrawi Republic, further solidifying his position as a leader in the struggle for Sahrawi rights.
