Bram Tankink

Bram Tankink, born on December third, nineteen seventy-eight, in Haaksbergen, is a distinguished former professional road bicycle racer from the Netherlands. His cycling journey began as a mountain biker, but in nineteen ninety-nine, he transitioned to road racing, marking the start of a remarkable career.

In two thousand, Tankink achieved a significant milestone by becoming the Dutch champion of the espoirs, which paved the way for his professional contract with Domo–Farm Frites in two thousand one. He spent two years with this team before moving to Quick-Step–Davitamon, where he became known for his selfless role as a domestique, often prioritizing the success of his teammates over his own ambitions.

Tankink's contributions to the Quick-Step team were invaluable, culminating in his participation in the two thousand five Tour de France, which he completed successfully. His efforts were instrumental in Filippo Pozzato's victory at the two thousand five HEW Cyclassics in Hamburg, and he also claimed victory in the first stage of the two thousand five Deutschland Tour from Attenburg to Plauen. Following the Tour, he continued to excel, winning several criteriums.

In two thousand eight, Tankink joined Rabobank, where he continued to showcase his talents until his retirement in two thousand eighteen. His career spanned nearly two decades, during which he left an indelible mark on the sport.
