He is widely recognized for his impactful tenure in WWE, where he captivated audiences under the ring name Braun Strowman. His journey into the world of strength sports began in two thousand ten, culminating in a successful strongman career that saw him clinch the NAS Amateur National Championships in two thousand eleven and the Arnold Amateur Strongman Championships in two thousand twelve.

Transitioning from strongman athletics to professional wrestling, Scherr signed with WWE in two thousand thirteen, initially showcasing his talents on the NXT developmental brand.
