Brett Kavanaugh

Brett Kavanaugh, born on February twelfth, nineteen sixty-five, is an influential American lawyer and jurist currently serving as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Nominated by President Donald Trump on July ninth, two thousand eighteen, Kavanaugh has held this esteemed position since October sixth, two thousand eighteen. Prior to his Supreme Court appointment, he served as a U.S. circuit judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit from two thousand six to two thousand eighteen.

Kavanaugh's academic journey began at Yale University, where he studied history and became a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He later attended Yale Law School, launching his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Ken Starr. During his time with Starr, Kavanaugh played a significant role in the investigations concerning President Bill Clinton, notably drafting the Starr Report that recommended Clinton's impeachment.

In the early two thousands, Kavanaugh joined the Bush administration as White House staff secretary, where he was instrumental in identifying and confirming judicial nominees. His nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit came in two thousand three, but his confirmation process was marked by controversy and delays, lasting three years due to allegations of partisanship. Ultimately, he was confirmed in May two thousand six.
