Brian Greenway

Brian Greenway, born on October first, nineteen fifty-one, is a distinguished Canadian musician renowned for his role as the longest-serving member of the iconic rock band April Wine. Joining the band in nineteen seventy-seven, Greenway has made significant contributions as a guitarist, harmonica player, and vocalist. His journey with April Wine began in the late seventies and spanned until nineteen eighty-six, when the band initially disbanded, before he rejoined in nineteen ninety-two, continuing to perform to this day.

Before his tenure with April Wine, Greenway showcased his musical talents in the bands Mashmakhan and the Dudes. His influence on April Wine is often highlighted, as he is credited with introducing a harder-edged sound that became a defining characteristic of the band's music. In nineteen eighty-six, following the disbandment led by founding member Myles Goodwyn, Greenway embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album, Serious Business, which maintained the signature blend of hard rock and ballads that fans had come to love.

In two thousand sixteen, Greenway expanded his musical repertoire by forming a new band, Brian Greenway's Blues Bus. This ensemble features former April Wine bandmate Gary Moffet on guitar and vocals, alongside Craig Miller on harmonica and vocals, Mark Higden on drums, and Lloyd Dallaire on bass. Together, they continue to celebrate the rich legacy of rock music while exploring new creative avenues.
