Brian Henton

Brian Henton, born on September nineteenth, nineteen forty-six, is a former racing driver from England, renowned for his achievements in the world of motorsport. Henton's journey began later than most, as he did not start racing until the age of twenty-three. His early career saw him clinch the British Formula Vee championship in nineteen seventy-one, where he boldly declared his ambition to become World Champion, a title that ultimately eluded him.

Throughout his career, Henton made a significant mark in both Formula Three and Formula Two, winning the British Formula Three Championships in nineteen seventy-four and the European Formula Two Championship in nineteen eighty. His Formula One debut came on July nineteenth, nineteen seventy-five, driving for Lotus during a tumultuous period for the team. Despite the challenges, he participated in thirty-eight Formula One Grands Prix, although he never managed to score any championship points.

Henton's time in Formula One was characterized by a mix of drives, including a stint with his own British Formula One Racing Team and later with Toleman, where he clinched the F2 championship in nineteen eighty. However, his transition to F1 with Toleman was fraught with difficulties, as the car was underdeveloped and overweight. Despite these setbacks, he made history by setting the fastest lap at the British Grand Prix, becoming the only driver in Formula One history to achieve this feat without scoring a championship point.

After retiring from racing, Henton shifted his focus to running a car dealership and later ventured into property development.
