Redman achieved significant success while racing for Carl Haas and Jim Hall's Chaparral Cars, clinching the SCCA Formula 5000 series titles in nineteen seventy-four, seventy-five, and seventy-six. His prowess on the track was evident as he collected his first Manufacturers Championship in nineteen sixty-eight, driving a Ford GT40 alongside Belgian driver Jacky Ickx for John Wyer Automotive Engineering.
