Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Brian Sandoval

Brian Sandoval, born on August fifth, nineteen sixty-three, is a distinguished American politician, academic administrator, and former federal judge. He served as the twenty-ninth Governor of Nevada from two thousand eleven to two thousand nineteen, marking a significant chapter in the state's political landscape.

A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, Sandoval embarked on his political journey in the early nineteen nineties. His career took off when he was appointed to the Nevada Gaming Commission in nineteen ninety-eight, where he later held the position of chairman from nineteen ninety-nine to two thousand one. As a member of the Republican Party, he was elected as Nevada's Attorney General, serving from two thousand three until two thousand five, when he was nominated by President George W. Bush to become a judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.

In two thousand ten, Sandoval launched his campaign for governor, successfully defeating incumbent Jim Gibbons for the Republican nomination. He went on to win the general election against Democratic nominee Rory Reid. His popularity was evident in the two thousand fourteen gubernatorial election, where he secured re-election with a remarkable seventy point six percent of the vote against Democrat Bob Goodman, who garnered twenty-three point nine percent. Due to term limits, Sandoval was unable to run for a third term in two thousand eighteen, and he was succeeded by Democrat Steve Sisolak.

Since October two thousand twenty, Sandoval has taken on the role of the seventeenth president of the University of Nevada, Reno, continuing his commitment to public service and education.
