Brianne Tutt

Brianne Tutt, born on June ninth, nineteen ninety-two, is a remarkable Canadian speed skater hailing from Airdrie, Alberta. Known for her tenacity and dedication to the sport, she made her mark by competing in the 1500 m event at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Her journey to the Olympics was not without its challenges. Just over a year prior to the Sochi Games, Tutt faced a life-altering incident when she was struck by another skater while waiting to practice at the Calgary Olympic Oval. This unfortunate collision resulted in severe injuries, including two broken neck vertebrae, a fractured skull, two broken ribs, a broken collarbone, and hearing loss, along with Bell's Palsy and a concussion.

Despite the daunting prognosis and the long road to recovery, Tutt demonstrated incredible resilience. She managed to overcome most of her injuries, although she continues to deal with lingering hearing loss, persistent neck pain, and symptoms related to her concussion.
