Bruce Deacon

Bruce Deacon, born on December fifth, nineteen sixty-six, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is a distinguished former long-distance runner known for his exceptional prowess in the marathon. His athletic journey is marked by significant achievements, including competing in the marathon at both the nineteen ninety-six and two thousand Summer Olympics, where he placed eleventh and sixteenth, respectively.

Deacon's remarkable career includes notable performances at the World Athletics Championships, where he secured eleventh place in nineteen ninety-five and sixteenth in nineteen ninety-seven. He made history as the first two-time winner and remains the only three-time champion of the California International Marathon, triumphing in nineteen ninety-one, nineteen ninety-five, and two thousand one.
