Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Bruce Dickinson

Bruce Dickinson, born on August seventh, nineteen fifty-eight, is an English singer renowned as the lead vocalist of the iconic heavy metal band Iron Maiden. His journey in music began in the 1970s, where he fronted various small pub bands while studying in Sheffield and London. In nineteen seventy-nine, he joined the British new wave heavy metal band Samson, gaining initial fame under the stage name 'Bruce Bruce' and contributing to two studio albums.

In nineteen eighty-one, Dickinson made a pivotal move by joining Iron Maiden, replacing Paul Di'Anno. His debut with the band came with the release of their landmark album, The Number of the Beast, in nineteen eighty-two. During his first tenure, Iron Maiden achieved remarkable success, releasing a series of platinum and gold albums throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. After leaving the band in nineteen ninety-three to focus on his solo career, he explored various heavy metal and rock styles, only to rejoin Iron Maiden in nineteen ninety-nine, alongside guitarist Adrian Smith.

Since his return, Dickinson has contributed to six studio albums with Iron Maiden and released two solo records, including Tyranny of Souls in two thousand five and The Mandrake Project in two thousand twenty-four. His family has a musical legacy as well; his younger cousin Rob Dickinson was the lead singer of the alternative rock band Catherine Wheel, and his son Austin led the metalcore band Rise to Remain. Under Dickinson's leadership, Iron Maiden has sold over one hundred million albums worldwide as of two thousand twenty-four.

Apart from music, Dickinson has pursued diverse interests, including a career as a commercial pilot for Astraeus Airlines. He famously captained Iron Maiden's charter plane, Ed Force One, during world tours. After Astraeus' closure, he founded Cardiff Aviation in two thousand twelve, focusing on aircraft maintenance and pilot training. Additionally, he hosted a radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music from two thousand two to two thousand ten, presented television documentaries, authored novels and film scripts, created a beer with Robinsons Brewery, and even competed internationally in fencing.
