Bruce Twamley

Bruce Twamley, born on May twenty-third, nineteen fifty-two, is a distinguished former Canadian international soccer player and coach. His professional journey began with Ipswich Town, where he made two appearances over two seasons before returning to Canada.

In nineteen seventy-five, Twamley joined the Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American Soccer League (NASL) for a season. His career continued with a brief stint at the New York Cosmos in nineteen seventy-seven, followed by a trade to the Minnesota Kicks during the same season. He started nineteen seventy-eight with Minnesota but was traded mid-season to the Oakland Stompers, ultimately concluding his NASL career with the Edmonton Drillers in nineteen seventy-nine.

Beyond his playing days, Twamley transitioned into coaching, taking the helm of the Canadian U-23 national soccer team. His expertise was recognized when he served as the interim head coach of the national team in nineteen ninety-eight, showcasing his commitment to the development of soccer in Canada.
