Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson, born on May 22, 1981, is a prominent American professional wrestler and catch trainer, renowned for his technical prowess and deep connection with fans. He currently showcases his talents in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a color commentator for the flagship show Dynamite, while also performing part-time in the ring. His illustrious career includes a significant tenure in WWE, where he was known as Daniel Bryan from 2010 to 2021, earning accolades that solidified his status as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Danielson's journey in professional wrestling began in 1999 on the independent circuit, leading to an eighteen-month contract with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in 2000. After making appearances until 2003, he joined Ring of Honor (ROH) in 2002, where he became a mainstay and won the ROH World Championship and ROH Pure Championship. His contributions to ROH were recognized in 2022 when he was inducted into the inaugural class of the ROH Hall of Fame.

In addition to his success in the United States, Danielson made a name for himself internationally, capturing titles in Japan, including the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. He returned to WWE in 2009, where he faced a setback in 2010 but made a triumphant return three months later, winning multiple championships, including the WWE Championship four times and the World Heavyweight Championship once.

After initially retiring in 2016 due to health issues stemming from concussions, Danielson transitioned to a non-wrestling role as the on-screen general manager of SmackDown until 2018. His unexpected medical clearance allowed him to return to the ring, leading to his AEW debut in September 2021. Since then, he has headlined several AEW pay-per-view events, winning the men's Owen Hart Cup in 2024 and capturing the AEW World Championship at All In 2024, marking a significant milestone in his career.

At WrestleDream 2024, Danielson faced Jon Moxley in what was billed as the final match of his full-time wrestling career, leaving an indelible mark on the sport and a legacy that will be remembered for generations.
