Buddy Matthews, born on September twenty-six, nineteen eighty-eight, is a prominent Australian professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Known for his dynamic in-ring style and charisma, he performs under the ring name Buddy Matthews and has made a significant impact in the wrestling world, including a reign as the AEW World Trios Champion.

Before his tenure in AEW, Matthews gained recognition in WWE, where he initially wrestled as Buddy Murphy. His journey began in Australia, where he competed under the ring name Matt Silva, showcasing his talent in promotions like Professional Championship Wrestling (PCW) and Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW). In two thousand thirteen, he made the bold move to the United States to join WWE, starting in their developmental territory, NXT.

During his time in NXT, Matthews formed a successful tag team with Wesley Blake, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship and making history as the first Australian to win a championship in WWE. In two thousand eighteen, he transitioned to WWE's main roster, where he showcased his skills on 205 Live and later won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
