Buhturi

Buhturi, an esteemed Arab poet, was born in the year eight hundred nineteen in the historic city of Manbij, located in Islamic Syria, nestled between Aleppo and the Euphrates River. His poetic legacy flourished during a vibrant period of cultural and literary development in the region.

Belonging to the tribe of Tayy, Buhturi was part of the illustrious Buhturid lineage, which contributed significantly to the rich tapestry of Arabic literature. His works are often compared to those of his contemporary, Abū Tammām, highlighting the depth and artistry of his poetic expression.
