Butch Cassidy

Robert LeRoy Parker, born on April 13, 1866, is more famously known as Butch Cassidy, a notorious figure in the annals of American criminal history. As the leader of the infamous 'Wild Bunch' gang, Cassidy made a name for himself as a daring train and bank robber during the tumultuous days of the Old West.

For over a decade, Cassidy engaged in a life of crime, evading law enforcement, particularly the relentless pursuit of the Pinkerton detective agency. His criminal exploits, marked by audacity and cunning, captured the imagination of the public and solidified his status as a legendary outlaw.

In a bid to escape the mounting pressure from law enforcement, Cassidy fled the United States alongside his accomplice Harry Longabaugh, better known as the 'Sundance Kid', and Longabaugh's girlfriend, Etta Place. Their journey took them first to Argentina and later to Bolivia, where the fate of Cassidy and Longabaugh remains shrouded in mystery.

In November 1908, it is believed that Cassidy and Longabaugh met their end in a violent shootout with the Bolivian Army, although the exact details of their demise are unclear. The life and legacy of Butch Cassidy have been immortalized in various forms of media, making him one of the most recognizable icons of the Wild West.
