Butch Goring, born on October 22, 1949, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach. Over the course of his impressive career, he played sixteen seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), showcasing his talents with the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders, and Boston Bruins.
Goring is celebrated for his pivotal role in the New York Islanders' dynasty, contributing to the team's remarkable success as a four-time Stanley Cup winner. His skill and leadership on the ice have left an indelible mark on the franchise and the sport itself.
After hanging up his skates, Goring transitioned into coaching, taking the helm for both the Bruins and Islanders.
