Bwanga Tshimen

Bwanga Tshimen, born on January fourth, nineteen forty-nine, is a distinguished former footballer hailing from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His illustrious career peaked during the early to mid-1970s, where he showcased his exceptional talent while playing for TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi. His remarkable skills on the field earned him the prestigious title of African Footballer of the Year in nineteen seventy-three.

Affectionately dubbed the 'Black Beckenbauer' by both the African and French press, Bwanga's playing style drew comparisons to the legendary German footballer Franz Beckenbauer. This nickname not only highlighted his prowess but also underscored his significant impact on the game during his era.

In the year two thousand, Bwanga was honored as the IFFHS Player of the Century for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a testament to his enduring legacy in African football.
