Caesar Baronius

Caesar Baronius, born on August thirtieth, fifteen thirty-eight, was a prominent Italian Oratorian, cardinal, and historian of the Catholic Church. His extensive contributions to ecclesiastical history are encapsulated in his magnum opus, the 'Annales Ecclesiastici' or 'Ecclesiastical Annals', which was published in twelve folio volumes between fifteen eighty-eight and sixteen oh seven.
