Çağla Büyükakçay

Çağla Büyükakçay, born on September 28, 1989, is a distinguished Turkish professional tennis player who has made significant strides in the sport. She etched her name in history by becoming the first Turkish woman to win a WTA Tour title at her home tournament in Istanbul, a remarkable achievement that showcases her talent and dedication.

Throughout her career, Büyükakçay has accumulated an impressive record on the ITF Women's Circuit, securing twelve singles titles and fifteen doubles titles. Her hard work and perseverance paid off when she reached her highest singles ranking of world No. 60 in September 2016, alongside a peak doubles ranking of No. 111 on February 29, 2016.

As a proud representative of Turkey, she has competed in the Billie Jean King Cup, boasting a win-loss record of forty-two to thirty-three as of July 2024.
