Caileigh Filmer, a talented Canadian rower hailing from Victoria, British Columbia, has made significant strides in the world of competitive rowing. Born on December eighteenth, nineteen ninety-six, she began her journey in the sport at a young age, showcasing her potential early on.
After graduating from Mount Douglas Secondary in two thousand fourteen, Caileigh embarked on her collegiate journey at the University of California later that same year. Her dedication and skill were evident when she won a bronze medal in the coxless pair event at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, partnering with Larissa Werbicki.
At just nineteen, Caileigh made her Olympic debut at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the women's eight event, ultimately finishing fifth in the final. Her prowess continued to shine as she became the U-23 world champion in the women’s eight at the U-23 world championships in Bulgaria in 2017.
In 2018, she achieved further acclaim by winning the world championship in the women's coxless pair alongside Hillary Janssens at the World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv.
