Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark, born on January 22, 2002, is an American professional basketball player currently making waves with the Indiana Fever in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Renowned for her exceptional skills on the court, Clark is celebrated as one of the greatest female collegiate players in history. During her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes, she was honored twice as the national female college basketball player of the year and holds the distinction of being the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer.

Clark's journey began at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, where she earned recognition as a McDonald's All-American and was ranked as the fourth-best player in her class by ESPN. Her collegiate career at Iowa was nothing short of remarkable; she led the NCAA Division I in scoring during her freshman year and garnered All-American honors. As a sophomore, she made history by becoming the first women's player to lead Division I in both points and assists in a single season, earning unanimous first-team All-American status.

In her junior year, Clark's prowess on the court was further solidified as she was named the national player of the year, leading Iowa to its first national championship game while again topping Division I in assists. She continued her stellar performance into her senior season, repeating as national player of the year and helping Iowa return to the national title game. Throughout her career, she set numerous records, including the Division I women's career and single-season records in points and three-pointers, and broke the conference record in assists.

On the international stage, Clark has also shone brightly, winning three gold medals with the United States, including two at the FIBA Under-19 Women's World Cup, where she was named Most Valuable Player in 2021. Her professional career took off when she was selected first overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA draft. In her debut season, she made an immediate impact, winning the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, earning a spot on the All-WNBA First Team, and participating in the WNBA All-Star Game. Clark set league records for assists in both single-season and single-game categories, broke the rookie scoring record, and became the first rookie to achieve a triple-double.
