Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Marie Jenner, born William Bruce Jenner on October 28, 1949, is a prominent American media personality and a retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete. Jenner's athletic journey began in college, where she played football for the Graceland Yellowjackets. However, a knee injury led her to explore the decathlon, a decision that would change her life. Competing for six years, she achieved remarkable success, culminating in a gold medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where she set a world record and became celebrated as an all-American hero.

Beyond her athletic prowess, Jenner has built a diverse career in television, film, writing, and auto racing. She gained further fame as a Playgirl cover model and became a household name through her appearances on the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, alongside her three wives and six children. This show, which aired from 2007 to 2021, showcased her family life with Kris Jenner and their daughters, Kendall and Kylie, as well as her stepchildren from Kris's previous marriage.

In April 2015, Jenner made headlines by publicly coming out as transgender, announcing her new name in July of the same year. Her transition was documented in the reality series I Am Cait, which aired from 2015 to 2016, making her one of the most recognized transgender women globally. As a transgender rights activist, she has advocated for the community, although her views have sparked criticism from some LGBTQ+ activists.

In addition to her advocacy work, Jenner is a member of the Republican Party and participated in the 2021 California gubernatorial recall election, where she finished 13th with one percent of the vote.
