Campbell Stewart

Born on May twelfth, nineteen ninety-eight, in Palmerston North, Campbell Stewart has emerged as a prominent figure in the world of cycling. A professional track and road cyclist, he currently rides for the UCI WorldTeam Team Jayco–AlUla, showcasing his exceptional talent on both national and international stages.

Stewart's athletic journey includes representing New Zealand at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where he earned two silver medals in the scratch race and points race. His prowess continued to shine at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where he secured a silver medal in the omnium, further solidifying his status as a top competitor.

His early years were spent at Palmerston North Boys' High School, where his passion for cycling began to flourish. In 2018, he rode for the WIGGINS team, gaining valuable experience that would contribute to his future successes.

During the Tokyo Olympics, Stewart faced an unexpected challenge when fellow rider Aaron Gate suffered a crash in the team pursuit bronze medal race, fracturing his collarbone. Rising to the occasion, Stewart stepped in to compete in the omnium and madison events, demonstrating his resilience and adaptability as an athlete.
