Candace Crawford, born on March 11, 1994, is a talented Canadian alpine skier hailing from Thornbury, Ontario. She is a proud member of The Georgian Peaks Ski Club, where her passion for skiing flourished. Candace shares her love for the sport with her younger brother, Jack, who is also an alpine skier.
Her competitive journey began in earnest when she made her World Cup debut in slalom at Sölden in October 2014. Just a couple of months later, in December 2014, she achieved a significant milestone by earning her first World Cup points, finishing in twenty-fifth place in the slalom event at Kühtai.
Candace's remarkable skills were showcased on a grand stage when she represented Canada at the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado. Competing alongside teammates Erin Mielzynski, Phil Brown, Trevor Philp, and substitutes Marie-Pier Préfontaine and Erik Read, the Canadian team secured a silver medal in the Nations Team Event. Despite being seeded tenth, they triumphed over higher-ranked teams, including Germany, Italy, and Sweden, before ultimately finishing second to the top-seeded Austrian team.
At the conclusion of the 2014-15 season, Candace's hard work paid off as she clinched the overall women's ranking in the Nor-Am Cup, outpacing fellow Canadian Mikaela Tommy and American Paula Moltzan. Additionally, she excelled in individual rankings, securing victories in both slalom and giant slalom, while finishing as the runner-up in super-G.
