Carl Craig

Carl Craig, born on May twenty-second, nineteen sixty-nine, is a prominent American electronic music producer, disc jockey, and jazz musician. He is celebrated as a pioneering figure in the second wave of Detroit techno, emerging during the late 1980s and early 1990s. As the founder of the influential record label Planet E Communications, Craig has significantly shaped the landscape of electronic music.

Throughout his career, Craig has released music under his own name as well as various aliases, including Psyche, BFC, and Innerzone Orchestra. His early works were compiled in the album 'Elements 1989–1990,' which showcases his foundational contributions to the genre. His debut studio album, 'Landcruising,' was released in nineteen ninety-five, marking the beginning of a prolific recording career.

In addition to his original compositions, Craig has made a name for himself as a remixer, working with a diverse array of artists such as Manuel Göttsching, Maurizio, Theo Parrish, Tori Amos, and Depeche Mode. His remix of the Junior Boys track 'Like a Child' earned him a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording in two thousand eight, highlighting his impact on the music industry.

Collaboration has also been a key aspect of Craig's work, as evidenced by his recordings with Moritz von Oswald on the album 'Recomposed' in two thousand eight and with Green Velvet on 'Unity' in two thousand fifteen.
