Carl Franklin

Carl Franklin, born on April eleventh, nineteen forty-nine, is a distinguished American film and television director, producer, screenwriter, and former actor. He embarked on his career in the 1970s, making a name for himself as a television actor with notable roles such as Dr. Fred Walters in The Fantastic Journey, Detective Jerry Cross in McClain's Law, and Captain Crane in The A-Team.

In the 1980s, Franklin graduated from the AFI Conservatory and transitioned into directing, initially working on B-movies for Roger Corman's Concorde Pictures. His directorial prowess was showcased in the critically acclaimed film One False Move, released in nineteen ninety-two, which he co-wrote and starred in alongside Billy Bob Thornton. This film earned him the Best Director Award at the eighth Independent Spirit Awards.

Franklin's subsequent directorial works include notable films such as Devil in a Blue Dress and Out of Time, both featuring the talented Denzel Washington, as well as One True Thing, High Crimes, and Bless Me, Ultima. His cinematic contributions have solidified his reputation in the industry.
