Carl Honoré

Carl Honoré, a Canadian journalist and writer, was born on December twenty-ninth, nineteen sixty-seven, in Scotland. Although he hails from Scotland, he considers Edmonton his hometown. After completing his studies at the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a degree in History and Italian, Honoré's journey took him to Brazil, where he worked with street children. This experience ignited his passion for journalism, leading him to report from various corners of Europe and South America.

Honoré is best known for his internationally best-selling book, 'In Praise of Slow,' published in two thousand four, which explores the principles of the Slow Movement. His subsequent work, 'Under Pressure: Rescuing Our Children from the Culture of Hyper-Parenting,' released in two thousand eight, advocates for a more relaxed approach to parenting, coining the term 'slow parenting.' Through his writing, he encourages families to embrace a less hurried lifestyle.

Throughout his career, Honoré has contributed to numerous prestigious publications, including the Economist, Observer, American Way, National Post, Globe and Mail, Houston Chronicle, and the Miami Herald.
