Carlo Rosselli

Carlo Rosselli, born on November sixteenth, nineteen ninety-nine, was a prominent Italian socialist political leader and a fervent anti-fascist activist. His journey began in Italy, where he became a significant figure in the fight against fascism, later extending his efforts abroad. Rosselli's intellectual pursuits as a journalist, historian, and philosopher led him to develop a unique theory of reformist non-Marxist socialism, which he termed 'liberal socialism,' drawing inspiration from the British labour movement.

In addition to his theoretical contributions, Rosselli was a hands-on participant in the Spanish Civil War, where he fought valiantly on the Republican side. His commitment to the cause of justice and liberty was further exemplified by his founding of the anti-fascist militant movement Giustizia e Libertà, which sought to challenge the oppressive regime of fascism in Italy.

Tragically, Rosselli's life was cut short when he was murdered by fascists in France, an act orchestrated on the orders of Benito Mussolini. His legacy, however, endures as a testament to his unwavering dedication to the principles of freedom and social justice.
