Carlos Newton

Carlos Newton, born on August 17, 1976, in Anguilla, is a retired Canadian mixed martial artist renowned for his exceptional skills in the octagon. Known as 'The Ronin', he made a significant mark in the world of mixed martial arts, competing in prestigious organizations such as UFC, Pride FC, IFL, K-1, Shooto, and W-1. His journey in MMA is highlighted by his remarkable achievement of becoming the youngest UFC Welterweight Champion, a title he earned on May 4, 2001, by defeating Pat Miletich at UFC 31.

Newton's fighting prowess is complemented by his extensive training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt. Under the guidance of his coach Terry Riggs at Warrior MMA in Newmarket, Ontario, he has honed his skills to become a 'Submission Master'.
