Carlos Vila Nova

Carlos Vila Nova, born on July twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-nine, is a prominent Santomean politician who has been serving as the fifth and current president of São Tomé and Príncipe since October second, twenty twenty-one.

His political career includes significant roles in the government, where he held the position of Minister of Public Works and Natural Resources from two thousand ten to two thousand twelve. Following this, he served as the Minister of Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and the Environment from two thousand fourteen to two thousand eighteen, contributing to the administrations of Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada.
