Carmelina Moscato

Carmelina Moscato, born on May second, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished Canadian soccer coach and former professional player. Currently, she holds the position of head coach for Al Qadsiah, a club in the Saudi Women's Premier League, where she continues to shape the future of women's football.

Throughout her playing career, Moscato showcased her skills as a defender with several clubs across different leagues. She made her mark in Italy's Serie A with UPC Tavagnacco, and later played in Sweden's Damallsvenskan for Piteå IF and Dalsjöfors GoIF. In the United States, she represented the Chicago Red Stars, Boston Breakers, and Seattle Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League, as well as the Western Sydney Wanderers in the Australian W-League.

On the international stage, Moscato earned an impressive ninety-four caps for the Canadian national team, contributing significantly to the sport in her country. Beyond her playing career, she served as the commissioner of League1 Ontario Women's Division from two thousand nineteen to two thousand twenty, and in two thousand twenty-one, she took on the role of director of women's football for the Bahamas Football Association.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Moscato has also served as an assistant coach for Racing Louisville FC in the NWSL, further demonstrating her commitment to developing women's soccer at all levels.
