Carmen Douma-Hussar, born on March twelfth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a distinguished Canadian middle-distance runner known for her remarkable achievements on the track. A proud member of the Guelph Track and Field Club, she has honed her skills under the expert guidance of coaches Marcus O'Sullivan and Albert Tschirhart.
Her athletic prowess was showcased on the international stage when she earned a silver medal in the 1500 meters at the 2004 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Douma-Hussar also made her mark as a finalist in the 1500 meters at the 2004 Summer Olympics, the 2005 World Championships in Athletics, and the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
In addition to her track accomplishments, she represented Canada in the short race at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships six times between two thousand one and two thousand six. Her best performance came in two thousand four, where she finished seventeenth, contributing to a team bronze medal for Canada.
